I’ve been wanting to paint this sign on Granville island for a while. The shadows were amazing when I arrived but soon disappeared. I think I do better when I’m not making stuff up or working it out. If it’s there in front of me, not changing, that’s when I paint the best. The colours on the island are brilliant. Endless painting opportunities.
