From the second we drove onto this campsite I wanted to paint these trees! A Douglas Fir and two Ponderosa Pines. One evening just as the sun began to set I grabbed a camping chair and went over. In the middle of painting it a red tailed hawk landed on the top of the tree on the right. Such a lovely painting experience.
